The fourteenth amendment can be reformed. Although it states, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." it has now become a problem because illegals are having their children here and the parents think they can stay just because their child is a citizen. It can be changed to, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States to at least one legal parent, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

The solution I propose is the reform of this amendment to, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States to at least one legal parent, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

I believe this solution will work because it will not allow illegal immigrants to have their offspring born here and have them automatically become citizens. It will definitely cut down the ever-growing population of this country and help the government keep track of who is in our country.
